Time-recording made easy

What do lawyers, accountants, quantity surveyors, consultants to many industries, secretarial services, project managers, government bodies, researchers and computer programmers have in common?

Most of them hate to do time-sheets.

If you've ever worked in a time-driven industry you'll know that tight recording is absolutely critical or how would you know what to charge the client? And, if you're the client, you hope like heck that they are doing it accurately, and not just guessing!

MetriQ have come up with a wonderful New Zealand-designed product to take the pain away. I was so impressed that I persuaded them to give a 5% discount for any of my readers (remember to mention this website when you first speak, or you might miss out).

I'll let Dr Nile Mosley, the CEO, tell the story.

'Originally MetriQ was designed for software developers to log their time on specific jobs, and it has since evolved into a personal time logging system for a wide variety of professions. It automatically and accurately logs time for either individuals or multiple users. In a nutshell, it saves both time and money!

'MetriQ's uses range from time logging and compiling data, generating reports and invoices, to project management overseeing from 1 to 1,000 users. It's perfect for industries who charge by the hour as well as those who merely need to perform internal cost efficiency and time monitoring studies.

'Even if a company does not charge by the hour but sets a quoted price, MetriQ will log the time so the person can know exactly how long they spend and if the quote was profitable. This way they can quote more accurately for future work.

'It only takes about 20 minutes to demonstrate the software, [I'll vouch for that - I had a reasonable grasp of the process in only a few minutes!], and within 30 minutes of setup and training a company can permanently eliminate this task, ensuring that each minute of the day is accounted for and kept safe, ready for billing.

'Unlike stopwatch programmes, MetriQ does not even require so much as a click to start or stop timing. As you open a file, MetriQ automatically starts timing. When you close or switch to another file or walk away from your computer, MetriQ stops timing all on its own.

'Being automatic it also eliminates human error in omitting to note the start or stop time.

'On average 30 minutes is spent per day on logging time sheets and converting that data to billing. That adds up to more than three full weeks per year, and MetriQ has the potential to save all that time. The average staff member costs upwards of $10,000 per year in the time logging process.'
